About Us

Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) is part of the Financial and Administrative Services (FAS) portfolio. We provide reliable and cost-effective electricity, chilled water, steam, deionized water, compressed air, emergency power, and elevator services for The University of Texas at Austin.

We have more than 180 employees and are organized into the following five divisions: Electrical Distribution and Elevator Services, Energy Management and Strategic Programs, Mechanical Distribution, Operations, and Support Services. Our business and financial services such as accounts payable, billing, and purchasing are overseen by the Business & Financial Services Department.
